Pawfect Grooming

About us

Pawfect Grooming

Friendly dog & cat grooming in Lichfield.

Pawfect Grooming is a small, calm grooming studio in Lichfield run by City & Guilds qualified groomers who genuinely love what they do. We keep things unhurried and gentle — one pet at a time, no cages, and plenty of patience for the nervous ones.

We groom all breeds of dog and cat, from a quick bath and tidy to a full breed-standard clip. We also offer a mobile service for pets who travel better in their own surroundings, or owners who can't easily get to us.

Whether it's your puppy's very first groom or your senior dog's regular trim, we'll treat them like our own — and send them home looking (and smelling) pawfect.

What pet owners say

"Our Cockapoo was so matted we thought he’d have to be shaved, but they worked wonders and he came back looking gorgeous. So gentle with him too — he actually pulls towards the door now!"

Lichfield · Full groom

"The mobile service is a lifesaver. Our old girl gets stressed in the car, so having them come to us has been brilliant. Calm, kind and a lovely tidy every time."

Geoff & Sue M.
Burntwood · Mobile grooming

"Took our puppy for her first groom and they were so patient. They explained everything and she wasn’t fazed at all. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now."

Frequently asked questions

How often should my dog be groomed?
It depends on the breed and coat, but most dogs do well with a full groom every 6–8 weeks, with a bath & tidy in between. We’re happy to suggest a routine for your particular dog when you visit.
My pet gets nervous — can you still groom them?
Absolutely. We work one pet at a time in a calm, cage-free studio and never rush. For very anxious pets, our mobile service in familiar surroundings can help. Just tell us beforehand so we can take extra care.
Do you groom cats?
We do — by appointment. Cats need a gentle, patient approach and we’re set up for it, including de-matting and a calm bath and brush-out for those that will tolerate it.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
Full grooms and cat grooms are by appointment so we can give your pet our full attention. Nail clipping you can pop in for any time during opening hours — no booking needed.
